Banners
There are several different material options available for our cafe barrier and cafe banner system that we can supply, from plain PVC to Perspex panels. Please look below for more information on each of the different materials.
PVC Banners
The heavy weight PVC banner is available in either plain or customised graphics. PVC banners are water resistant, hardwearing and wipe clean. With a durable high shine finish they are well suited for indoor and outdoor use. Available in a very wide variety of colours or can be full colour printed to get a specific colour.

PVC Mesh Banners
Mesh banners are easy to handle yet ultra-strong and designed to withstand the harshest weather conditions. The water resistant, wipe clean banners are perfectly suited for use outside and as the mesh material is perforated it allows airflow through the banner, making the banner option perfect for high wind locations. These banners are digitally printed therefore there is no limitation of the choice of colours or imagery available.

Foamex Panels
Foamex is a rigid material, also referred to as rigid PVC it is durable, lightweight, weather proof and has an excellent fire proof ratings. For use both internally and externally, the foamex screens can be supplied in a plain coloured finish or branded. Printed using UV stable vinyl, the screens can be simply wiped clean.
These can be supplied printed either single or double sided.

Premium Canvas Banners
The Canvas banners are made from Marine Acrylic Canvas to make sure only the best quality finish is achieved.
The canvas fabric is cleanable with soap and water and with a range of 26 colours we are sure to have a material to suit your needs. The graphics for these banners are individually heat stamped on and once applied will create a premium finish that makes your barriers stand out from the crowd like nothing else can.

Perspex Panels
For use both internally and externally, the screens can be supplied in a plain coloured finish or branded. Printed using UV stable vinyl, the screens are guaranteed for 3 years use. Completely Opaque or transparent, and available in double sided versions, the screens can be simply wiped clean.

Banner Posts
We have learnt from experience that when a Cafe Barrier is put outside of your premises the material that is between the posts can act like a sail on a ship, and in a high wind it can topple the Cafe Barrier over. This could obviously cause problems to pedestrians or to customers.
Because of this we have designed our post to make sure that this will be prevented, by using three important features.
1: Firstly our 2mm Stainless Steel post weighs 20-Kilos, so one complete system with 2-Post's and 2-Cross Bars weighs 42-Kilos.
2: Secondly the second ring on the bottom of our post is not fixed and thus it allows when (material or when PVC) is used, to move very slightly up or down should a sudden strong wind come along.
3: Thirdly the Kalkametrix Post has been incorporated with a very simple but a highly effective optional Floor Brackets. The benefits of using this easy fixing option, is to be able to have a post that can be screwed into the floor or pavement in seconds and thus making the post very strong, extra safe and rigid.
We have achieved this by integrating this option into the design of the base of the post, with the addition of the locking bolt and floor fixing component!
Therefore using the Floor Brackets your cafe barriers can be fixed to the ground, but can also be very quickly and easily removed at night, or as the need arises.
The Kalkametrix post is supplied in a beautiful stainless steel finish, but can also be powder coated in a wide variety of RAL colours, please see our Custom Colours page for more information.

Connecting Ring supplied with Posts
The connecting rings are made from stainless steel with rolled edges. The top ring is fixed with a lower floating ring that will enable the slight movement of the banner in the wind which helps with stability. The ring has been designed to allow the attachment of The Kalkametrix cross beam at 45 degree angles as well as the normal 90 degree. Shown on the right.

Cross Beams
We at Ark, have been told by many of our customers that ideally what they are looking for is a Cross Beam that cannot be easily lifted out by passing children or pedestrians just because they want to have fun.
The Kalkametrix Safety Feature
For this reason we have designed and incorporated a spring loaded safety mechanism at the ends of the Cross Beams which will stop people lifting the beams out easily as they are passing..
In order to lift out the Cross Beams a spring loaded catch has to be pulled back to allow the beams to be lifted out of the Posts. This will prevent the problems that other cafe house and restaurants have experienced.
